Compensation & Pension - US Military

VETERANS CONSULTATION

Personalized comprehensive coaching to help you strengthen your disability claim. This consultation will help you prepare for upcoming, pending, and future compensation and pension exams. This service aims to motivate and build confidence in your ability to file or appeal disability claims independently.

First time clients call or email to set up an initial consultation to meet in person at no fee for a maximum of 60 minutes to determine claim eligibility. Continued services charged at an hourly rate.

1- Veteran Compensation and Pension Disability Exam Coaching:

  • A thorough review of pertinent medical records
  • Nexus letters
  • Medical opinions.

 

2- Safe Patient Handling Program Start-Up:

  • High Reliability Organization training through a SWOT Analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats)
  • Policy drafting/revision, Team building
  • Training the trainer
  • Injury prevention strategies
  • Emergency management
  • Morgue readiness
  • Executive leadership consulting
  • Engaging different disciplines to collaborate on an effective process
  • Joint Commission readiness, and other relevant services depending on the facility needs.

 

3- Wound Care:

  • Surgical debridement
  • Incision and drainage
  • Preventative care
  • Hospice care
  • Puncture biopsies
  • Treatment of diabetic/venous/arterial ulcers
  • Treatment of common skin conditions such as psoriasis, rashes, eczema, lacerations/abrasions, and dermatitis.
  • Podiatry services such as nail clipping, filing, trimming, incision and drainage, preventative care, and fungal treatments.
  • Documentation of services are provided to patients.

MEET STACY MARIE

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Florida, Ms. Rivera is fluent in Spanish.

 

With 15 years of nursing experience, Ms. Rivera is dedicated to bridging gaps within the healthcare system by empowering patients to reclaim their autonomy and providing education needed to navigate those systems. Presently, she works as a wound care nurse practitioner and a medical examiner for the veteran compensation and pension disability program. Ms. Rivera has experience in both intensive and acute care disciplines to include: ICU, Step-Down, Gastroenterology, Ambulatory Surgical, Primary Care, Med-Surg Tele, Med Surg Oncology. She has also most recently worked as a Nursing Supervisor for the Loma Linda VA Medical Center, and as the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Facility Coordinator for the San Diego VA Health Care System; requiring management, consulting, emergency management, team building, training/mentoring, data collection and entry, gap analysis, engineering, contracting, logistics, tailored care plans for inpatient, outpatient, and home health patient populations.

 

Additionally, volunteers as a nurse practitioner for internal humanitarian trips having served rural underprivileged and underdeveloped regions in Africa, India, and South America.
